Room for Change turns empty hotel rooms into a safe place to recover for people who are temporarily without a home. Hotels open their doors, care partners offer guidance, and within months people move on to a home of their own again.

How it works

One room. Three partners. A real way out.

A hotel opens a room

Participating hotels make one or more rooms structurally available, at no extra work, alongside their regular guests.

A care partner guides

Local social organisations select, place and support each participant on their road back to stability.

A person moves on

After three to six months, the critical-time-intervention window, participants move on to durable housing and, if they want, work.
