Behind every label is a person
Room for Change offers hotel rooms to people who are temporarily without a home. Since our start in 2021, we supported 100 people through the programme by April 2023, together with local care partners. To mark that milestone, and to break the stigma around homelessness by focusing on the person behind the label, we launched a campaign with Museum of Humanity.
On 8 May 2023, Ruben Timman and his team from Museum of Humanity photographed 100 portraits of all kinds of people in the garden of the Diaconie, among them a number of people who are, or once were, without a home.
Spread the message
Help break the stigma by sharing the portraits and the story online. The more people look twice, the more the label fades.
